The pay, as well as benefits to the candidates selected by way of NDA Exam, starts during the period of training itself. For example, Gentlemen Cadets are eligible for a sum of Rs. 21,000 per month as stipend during the training period.

Stipend given to Gentlemen Cadets during the entire duration of training in Service academies i.e. during training period at IMA is Rs 56,100. On successful commissioning in NDA, the pay in the Pay matrix of the Officer commissioned will be fixed in the first Cell of Level 10.

If you want to give NDA exam then you must have to pass 12th exam. marks and stream are do not matter. You cannot join NDA after 10th. The minimum qualification is 12th pass and the percentage does not count towards your selection.

In the Compulsory Course, cadets study English, Foreign Languages (Arabic, Chinese, French or Russian), Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, History, Political Science, Economics and Geography. Note that all cadets must take basic classes in all these subjects except Foreign Languages.

At the end of every semester, there is a break of about 20 to 30 days during which the cadets can visit their home or wherever they want to go.

Training period is tougher in NDA which eventually shapes an aspirant into a well moulded army brat rather than joining the army after graduating in some other course and finally making up the mind to join the Indian Army using the CDS examination. But the pay scale and officer allowance in CDS is better than NDA.

Two to Five years

Most agreements that I see (if they have a term) have a time limit of two to five years. But your NDA also needs to say that, even if the term is ended, the disclosing party isn't giving up any other rights that it may have under copyright, patent, or other intellectual property laws.
